Nonfiction reading response assesment

In the article, "Age-rated books: right or wrong?" there many kids that read the same book, but at different ages. So now there are age rated books. I think this is very wrong. Just like in the article it says, "children differ" and that is so true. That's also like taking the fun out of reading. You read because of many different reasons. Some like to just challenge themselves and read harder books on their own. However if the child has to wait a few years just to read 1 book that seems a little unfair. Then the child grows over the book, and then all of the books in their life.
There is no same person in the world. There is no same reader either. People read in their own way/style. Children are the same. Even at different ages they can read the same book but interpret it a different way from adults. That doesn't matter. Who cares if the children read harder books. That just means they're growing as a reader. Even if the children don't understand the book fully, they're still learning.

If there are age rated books, that means children can't expand on their reading skills. They'll also grow tired of waiting to read books fit for them even if it is harder. They won't wait for the their birthday(s) to come. They will just forget about it. Then it will become for all books. How will they take away an essential part of developing the brain because of a few bad things that happen in the book.

reading response assesment

In the book, "Faithful Elephants" it shows you that some things in the world you just have to let go. It was during a war when there were bombs dropped everywhere. The animals might rampage and hurt innocent people, so a trainer had to watch 3 elephants, tonky, tonly, and Wanly, die. when the trainer saw them do their favorite trick the trainer had to give them their food. The other zoo keepers watching him pretended not to see. When it was too much for him to watch, he stopped seeing them.
When tonly and wanly are suffering so much that the trainer is suffering too. The trainer loved them so much that he thought his heart was going to break. Once they did the banzai trick, their favorite trick, the trainer couldn't take it anymore, and he gave them food. The zoo keepers pretended not to see because they felt bad about not being able to do anything. Also, even though the odds were against the trainer and the other  zoo keepers they still had hope that the war would end. They kept being optimistic.

However, the time came when he couldn't take it anymore. He stopped seeing tonky and wanly. He wasn't going to so much look at them because it was so painful. When he came back over two weeks later he found them dead leaning against the cage with their trunks hanging up. They were probably trying to do their banzai trick. The trainer was crying while saying they're dead. The elephants are dead.
